What Yoshiwara is

Senzoku 4-chome, Taito City — not Kabukicho, and not an outcall neighbourhood.

Yoshiwara is Tokyo’s best-known soapland (ソープ / 個室付浴場業) district. The shops stand in a small grid of low buildings. Red lanterns mark the streets after dark. You go to the venue. The session is in-store. That is the opposite of outcall (delivery health) in Nakasu or Namba, where staff come to a hotel.

Ukiyo Nights lists a shop here only if it has filed the required adult-entertainment notification and follows the law. We show one total price on each listing. Street touts can be ignored; a registered shop does not need a catcher.

Asakusa and Ueno hotels are the usual starting points. Minowa and Iriya on the Hibiya Line are the nearest stations. Some shops collect guests at a station — ask when you write to them.

How a first visit works

Four steps. The shop handles the booking — not this site.

  1. Lantern-lined street in Yoshiwara at night
    1

    Choose a registered shop

Read the card: type, total, languages, payment. If a shop is on this page, it has filed the required notification. Empty listings mean we have not published a shop yet.

  2. Reception desk where you confirm the booking
    2

    Contact the shop yourself

LINE, phone or the details on the listing. Ukiyo Nights does not make the reservation. The Contact Kit on a venue page can draft a Japanese message for you to send.

  3. Taxi waiting on a lantern-lined street in Yoshiwara
    3

    Go to Yoshiwara

Taxi from Asakusa, or walk from Minowa or Iriya. Show the driver the Japanese address on the listing. Some shops offer a pickup from a station — confirm when you contact them.

  4. Red noren at a shop door
    4

Confirm the total, then go in

Pay the agreed amount. Do not haggle. The session is inside the shop. Ask anything unclear before you continue. Tattoos, language and ID rules are the shop’s to set.

Getting there

Senzoku 4-chome, Taito City. Schematic — not a street map.

Hibiya Line

Minowa

About 10 minutes on foot. Often the closest station. Some shops collect guests here.

Hibiya Line

Iriya

About 12 minutes on foot. Useful if you are coming from Ueno.

Taxi

Asakusa

About 10 minutes by taxi. Show the driver the Japanese address. Taxis run after the last train.

Taxi

Ueno

About 15 minutes by taxi. Keep cash for the fare.

Price and payment

The listing total is the figure to confirm — not a bid.

Yoshiwara soapland courses are priced by the shop and by length. They are usually higher than a short outcall course in Osaka or Fukuoka. Ukiyo Nights will show one total on each card when a shop is listed. Confirm that number before you set a time. Optional extras must be agreed in advance.

Cash is common. Cards and e-money depend on the shop. Do not haggle. Tips are not required.

Before you go

Shop rules decide the rest. Ask if it matters.

Language

Some shops can handle English, Korean or Chinese. Many cannot. Use the languages line on the listing, then confirm.

Tattoos

Some shops refuse visible tattoos. Covering them is the cautious default. Ask before you travel.

ID

A shop may ask to see identification. Bring your passport. Age 18+ only.

Touts

Ignore street catchers. A registered shop does not need one. Walk to the address on the listing.
